Hello Hojites!
Well, we just arrived safe and sound from an amazing roadtrip out to BC where we did gigs in Grand Forks, Nelson, and Nakusp. Beautiful areas, and great people in all the cities we went to. What a great way to start of spring/summer (uhh...is that snow? Maybe we should say WINTER!)

It's beginning to look a lot like SU-MMER!

Hello all you great people!
It's starting to warm up, the time change has happened here in Alberta, and that means spring is on the way! Our load-ins and load-outs are beginning to be a lot more fun when we aren't freezing our buns off while doing it! he he.
We now come to a much needed break - everyone seems to be getting the spring flu or something. But definitely a fun and interesting sounding show coming up this weekend:

EDMONTON!

Well, we just finished a GREAT trip to Edmonton. Started out with a fantastic and fun show for the Veterinarians ASsociation of Alberta on friday night. The show took place on the top floor of the Delta Hotel South, in a beautiful banquet room, with an amazing audience, and a good performance (if we do say so ourselves! he he) too! We got the opportunity to spend the night at the Delta, have some great meals and use a nice facility. Then a quick switch of hotels on our day off, and then a week full of fun school shows, and seeing some great audiences covering everywhere from Sherwood Park, to Spruce Grove, to St. Albert and all places in between.
Back to Calgary last night - and a great few days off before we start 'er up in Calgary!!

The West Coast trip

Well, we just arrived back in to Calgary late on friday night after a VERY successful, and VERY enjoyable 2 weeks out in Vancouver and the surrounding area. Coming from Calgary, it was definitely nice to get into some warmer weather! Although, with the ocean right there, the cold in Vancouver really cuts to the bone...but still.
Also good to have some new scenery, and to make some new friends, and visit some new schools that had never seen us before.
Also had a couple great public shows that went over really well, including one in a GREAT theatre at the Evergreen Cultural Centre. We were included as part of their music series of concerts for the year. Very cool!
Now we're back in Calgary, just in time for some nice slushy warm weather. And a few days off before we get back on the boards.
Anyone interested - we also have a public show this Wednesday, February 3rd. At Our Lady of Fatima in Calgary. 7pm.

WELL HERE WE ARE FOLKS!!!! Into our last week before we get a few weeks of holidays. Definitely going to be nice to get the rest! he he.
But for now, we are in Edmonton for the week, before heading out to Manitoba for our last Christmas show on friday night.
just wanted to wish everyone a very merry, safe, and happy holiday season! Merry Christmas to you all! And if you don't do Christmas, then happy other days too!!

And just to put a friendly reminder out there: We have 4 CDs, including a GREAT Christmas recording with some excellent Christmas Carols on it, and the CDs are the perfect size for stocking stuffers. HAPPY HOLIDAYS ALL!!!

Well! We came back from a long trip out to Manitoba. We got to see some friends out there, including Tony who is one of the founding members (former members) of Hoja!! So that was great, plus saw some cool smaller towns as well as some of the bigger ones (Winnipeg! And YES, it is as windy as everyone says! he he), and then got ourselves back home to Calgary.
Well, we've been here a week, got out to a show in Canmore this morning, and now we're packing our bags for another week long trip out to Saskatchewan, and mostly in and out of Moose Jaw! Anyone around?
Getting ready for Christmas - next on the list!!

So guess what? We just got on ITUNES!!! You betcha. Now you can get any or all of our tunes from our four different albums on itunes. Pretty cool - we're caught up with the 'now'! he he.
Well, Christmas is fast approaching, we're going to be getting our Christmas songs up and running, get them inserted into our shows, and head out on the road for a bunch of christmas shows before we get a break:
We will be heading through Winnipeg/Manitoba area for a week (next week), then will be in Saskatoon/Moosejaw/Regina area for a week, then in and out of Calgary for a week here and there, and we'll also be doing a pretty solid week in Edmonton into mid-December as well. So here we come - ho ho ho!

back for a while

Well, we just came off a successful couple weeks of touring! Spent a good week in Edmonton (ended by a show at the West Edmonton mall for Kids Care Foundation), including a fun show at the Women's Show during the weekend.
Came home for a day before shooting off to Saskatchewan where we hit up a number of different cities through there: Swift Current, Prince Albert, Saskatoon. Phew!
And finally back to Calgary for a few weeks in a row here.
Sure will be nice to sleep in our own beds!

Wow, well it sure became winter fast! So here we are, middle of October - and now we've got a few weeks coming up of being all over the place. We're in Calgary right now, sitting watching the snow collect everywhere. Tomorrow we are off to Edmonton for the week - keep an eye open for us if you know where we'll be! We get back to Calgary on sunday and then off again to Saskatchewan for the next week. Back JUST IN TIME for Halloween, and then off on more adventures! Ahhh...the live of a performer.

Also, thanks to everyone who came to our public show on Wednesday night last week. It was a great time, we had a blast doing it, and lots of good people came out to celebrate with us. Now we just have to get ourselves used to the weather change!

A needed rest ANNNND upcoming public shows!

Hey Hojites!

Well, we've taken a few days off to rest this week. After successful tours to Edmonton and area, and to Grande Prairie recently, it was time for a bit of home-time.
Not to mention, Kirk needed to rest up his back after putting it out in the middle of a Britney Spears tune. See? So don't say we don't give it our all for you out there!! ha ha. He's on the mend, by the end of our Edmonton tour he was slowly (VERY slowly) starting to put some of his old moves back into the show, and was also able to lift a little more. At the start of it he was kind of like our Grandpa Mascot...don't tell him I said that.
Now, big news for next week:

Hoja just returned to Calgary after a successful week long roadtrip to Grande Prairie and surrounding area. We've got new Hojites as well as old ones up in Northern Alberta now.
